Run, Walk or Jog for a good cause

The Twelve Day Marathon is a virtual challenge taking place across the 12 days of Christmas.

Starting on the 25th December 2019 and ending on the 5th January 2020, this challenge is for everyone. You can choose to walk it, jog it or run it. You can do it in one go, split it up into a few chunks or a simply complete a couple of miles each day. You can start it on Christmas day, boxing day or even new years day.


Maybe you want to use the Twelve Day Marathon to help kick start a new fitness regime or perhaps build it into a training plan for another event.  You could do it when you walk the dog, on your morning commute, the school run or even your local Parkrun. 


However you choose to move, you’ll be getting fit and healthy, discover a new community and most importantly you’ll be raising vital funds for two amazing charities, Family Action and Hope for Tomorrow. At the end of the 12 days, when you have completed your 26.2 miles, just submit your evidence and we’ll package up and post out your shiny new medal.

Stay safe
Finally, please remember that whilst we encourage you to go out and have fun, you are responsible for your own safety. Always let someone know where you are going, and roughly how long you’ll be out for. Always wear bright clothes when out at night so that you are visible to other road users and only take part if you feel fit and well.
